Weekly Buzz - Sept 2nd!

Hope everyone had an excellent labor day and LONG weekend!

ENRICHMENTS - Still time to sign-up for enrichments!  Classes start THIS WEEK! If you are planning to register for classes, please do so by going to the Friends of Beethoven website at friendsofbeethoven.org/Enrichments.  Please don’t wait until Enrichments start on the 3rd before signing up!

BEAUTIFICATION DAY - Saturday, September 7th - 9:00am to 12:00pm.  Come bring the family for a little clean-up around the school - maybe you are a novice (or expert) gardener.  Maybe you are a phenomenal sweeper - whatever your talents (or lack thereof) come bring that bear spirit and pride and spend some quality time giving the school some tlc!

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT - Is NEXT Tuesday, Sept 10th  at 6:00pm - 7:00pm.  Doors are open to parents and family to check out what the school year has to offer and see all the exciting things your kids will be up to!  Look forward to seeing you all there - check out the school website for more information! 

JAMBA JUICE IS BACK - Jamba Juice is back thanks to our the parent organizer, Ms. Reynoso. The new price is $3 (no longer $2) and the juice will be available after school in front of the auditorium. Remember it is first come, first served but students should not run to the outside auditorium area. Proceeds from the sales do support our school. Jamba Juice is scheduled for every Tuesday but is subject to cancellation depending on the availability of the franchise to send a staff member. The flavors we are starting with are strawberry and mango!

SPONSOR BEETHOVEN - Partner with Beethoven Elementary to Promote Your Business! - To all of our Beethoven Elementary parents who are business owners or active in the business community… partner with us to promote your business! Feel great about investing in our children’s education and spread the word about your business to all of our Beethoven Elementary families, alumni and the surrounding Mar Vista community. In return for your support, we can feature your company banner on the front fence of our school, include your company logo on the Beethoven website, the Friends of Beethoven website, our Facebook page and in our weekly Beethoven Buzz e- newsletter, display your company name on our electronic marquee, provide a branded presence at our Bear Scare and Fitness Challenge events and more. PARENT PLEDGE -  We are currently at 10% participation, thank you for all those that have donated!  Click here to donate to our pledge. 

Once a year, we ask families to donate money to pay for the things that LAUSD does not: Art, Teacher's Aids, Tech Support, Math & Coding Programs.  You can check out our FULL budget here on all the programs that we directly support - we have a fundraising goal of over $160,000.  All pledges are tax deductible and we except monthly payments as well as one time pledge options. This is our most important fundraiser of teh YEAR!  Other local schools ask for $1500 per child, but we are asking you to pledge whatever you can afford.  Join our community of support for our incredible school - no amount is too small!  Our goal is to get ALL families to participate and contribute to pledge.  While our financial goal is $160,000 the REAL SUCCESS will be 100% participation!
