Dr. Ford - Be the Principal for a Morning!

Come join Dr. Ford for her morning routine.  One lucky student or parent will get to make the PA announcements, carry the walkie-talkie, visit the classrooms and have a special lunch with Dr. Ford.  Date to be determined by Dr. Ford and the winner.  Open to all Beethoven students and parents.

2 Front Row Seats for 5th Grade Culmination
For the first time ever we are auctioning off these highly coveted front row seats.  How would it feel to not have to rush to Culmination? You can stop and pick up flowers, make sure you have your camera.  If you were in the front row, you would nto have to worry about a head in your way when you take the picture of your child crossing the stage.  You would not have to worry about having to stand in the back if you are running late.
Minimum Bid: $40.00 (The Highest bid will win two (2) front row either left or right section of the auditorium.  The front row center is reserved for teachers.)
 
Mrs. Layne - Eco Station Tour
One (1) child will win an afternoon of fun with Mrs. Layne to the Eco Station.  Time and Date: TBD with the winning child.  (This trip will be a joint adventure with Mrs. (Gomez) Argumedo and her winning child.) Parent must drop off and pick up child at the Eco Station.

This year’s Silent Auction will be held on Saturday, June 2.  We are seeking donations of quality goods, services and gift certificates to auction off.  Donations can be items that you own or purchase, services that you can provide, or gift certificates from stores and businesses that you patronize (e.g., your hair stylist would love to get a new customer as a result of donating a free haircut – so go ask!)  
Please get all your donations submitted no later than, Friday – May 25, 2012.  Please note that Beethoven Elementary School FOB is a 501 © (3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization and our tax ID number is 95-4475920; all donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
 
As in the past each grade level has put together a grade level basket and our hope is that parents will donate an item for the basket, or contribute money to purchase an item.   We hope that we can count on your support through a tax deductible donation of a service or good for our silent auction in June.  All of the proceeds from this auction go directly to benefit our students.  Education is a gift we give our children that lasts a lifetime.

What a great day at Beethoven, over 350 people attended Beethoven’s Beautification day this past Saturday!  I am sure many of you have sore backs, feet , and hands, but when you look around and see what has been done it is all worth it.  Check out the Kinder yard, lunch tables, classrooms have been cleaned , weeds pulled, plants planted, murals painted, new state map, bathrooms painted and so much more.  Take a moment to see what has been done.
A huge thank you goes out to the members of the Helping Hands!  If it were not for the Helping Hands members this day would not have happened.
